Food--good food, like, at a proper tavern--and drink, if you like--and boots, and a good cloak, and a dagger--or whatever it is you use, I dunno what you prefer, or if you even use weapons, and we've got some here, standard-issue, but they aren't good--you can't really get staffs too easily in Kirkwall but you might find 'em sometimes, if the right sort of merchant comes in--I've not ever found one I liked, so I haven't, but you might--and you've got a room of your own, haven't you? You're not sleeping in one of the dormitory rooms?
I thought that first as well. You might try out different beds--some of 'em aren't as soft, especially in the dormitory rooms what no one sleeps in. And then you can trade it out. Er, that's if you actually want to sleep on a mattress, you could sleep outdoors if you like. Except when it gets cold, 'course. Then I reckon you won't want to as much.
Dunno. 'Cos that's what happens when it gets seriously, seriously cold. It can happen to your fingers and ears and nose as well. Even your cheeks can get frozen and fall off.

--only a little serious. It can happen, freezing your arse black, or until it falls straight off. But it's not likely to. We've got fires and blankets and hot baths and the rooms in the Gallows are drafty, but they aren't that drafty. And you can get warm clothes, that'll keep you safe as well. So you ought to be all right, really.
