Dunno. 'Cos that's what happens when it gets seriously, seriously cold. It can happen to your fingers and ears and nose as well. Even your cheeks can get frozen and fall off.

Face-cheeks. S'ppose it might happen to arse-cheeks as well. Eurgh.

--only a little serious. It can happen, freezing your arse black, or until it falls straight off. But it's not likely to. We've got fires and blankets and hot baths and the rooms in the Gallows are drafty, but they aren't that drafty. And you can get warm clothes, that'll keep you safe as well. So you ought to be all right, really.

And - how - easy is it? To happen? Does everyone have to stay inside all winter?

Nah. You don't have to. But you might want to stay in. I know I do, I bloody hate being cold. Had enough of it to last me a lifetime and a half more.
